After months of artistic-inspired mayhem, the Next Wave Festival is finally upon us! As part of the Festival, the Agents of Proximity will be opening our exhibition and launching our Travel Guide to Brunswick this Friday, the 16th May from 6-9pm at the Brunswick Coin Laundry.

Over the last few months our local artist-run travel agency has been taking Brunswick residents on tours within their own suburb, and documenting the encounters between people and place through the creation of a series of photographic and text-based works. We've smoked apple tobacco hookah pipes, gone on fruit-pilfering adventures through suburban laneways, rescued flowers out of dumpsters and drunk Arabic coffee till our hearts started palpitating - and all in the name of creative development.

From the 16th-31st May we're going to be running the Agents of Proximity travel agency out of the Brunswick Coin Laundry. It all kicks off next Friday, so please come and join us for a drink.
